The XIV Russia-Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum was held at the site of the Russian Electric Motors plant

The XIV Russia-Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum was held at the site of the Russian Electric Motors plant (RED) in Chelyabinsk. The event was attended by President of the Russian Federation V. V. Putin and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. A. Nazarbayev.

The forum at the plant’s site hosted an exhibition of exposition members, in particular the Transneft’s exhibition stand demonstrated the most advanced equipment manufactured by its subsidiaries.

For instance, the visitors could see the pump equipment manufactured by Transneft Oil Pumps, a Chelyabinsk plant. A main line pump is intended for supply of commercial oil and light petroleum products via trunk pipelines, its component parts are manufactured in Russia in compliance with strict requirements set to the supplied devices.

The exposition also demonstrated a system for measuring quantity and quality of oil and petroleum products manufactured by Transneftemash Factory of Velikiye Luki (a branch of Transneft Upper Volga) and modern in-line inspection tools with high resolution capacity – a combined magnetic ultrasonic defectoscope, a magnetic combined defectoscope developed by Transneft Diascan.

About 1,500 guests took part in the 14th Interregional Cooperation Forum, which included the Transneft’s management staff, representatives of RED, heads of executive bodies, governors and akims of border areas, businesspeople from the two countries.

– Joint-Stock Company RUSSIAN ELECTRIC MOTORS (RED, JSC), an enterprise manufacturing high voltage electric motors was established in October 2015 in Chelyabinsk with the participation of Transneft PJSC (51%), Konar, JSC (49%) and Italian partners.

The plant will host full-cycle production of electric motors: manufacturing of component parts, assembly, product testing. The estimated output of high voltage electric motors for main line pump and booster units will be up to 300 items per year.
