REM has shipped the first ADVA vertical explosion-proof 2000 kW induction electric motor for a booster pump unit used for pumping oil through the system of oil trunk pipelines that was made at the factory. The electric motor was manufactured in accordance with the approved production plan and successfully passed a set of acceptance testings.
In the near future, the electric motor will be installed and put into operation at the customer’s (Transneft Kama Region) facility.
Previously, REM received a certificate of compliance with the technical requirements of the Customs Union (TR TS 012/2011 “Safety of Equipment Intended for Use in Explosive Atmospheres”). The certificate of conformity was issued under the act on the positive results of the analysis of RED’s production status, a report on products testing, technical conditions, operation manual and technical drawings. The certificate is valid until March 2024.
REM, which is an advanced high-tech manufacturer, is outfitted with more than 200 units of modern equipment, of which 83 are unique high-precision devices.
In the future, products of the new plant can be used for the needs of the oil and gas industry, shipbuilding, power engineering and other Russian industries. The plant is able to meet the needs of Russian enterprises and to produce products highly competitive in the world market as well.
The ceremonial opening of the plant took place in October 2018, when the Russian President Vladimir Putin gave the permission to launch the plant remotely, via a videoconference from his residence, together with the President of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic Giuseppe Conte, who arrived in Moscow.
Joint-Stock Company "RUSSIAN ELECTRIC MOTORS" (REM), a high-voltage electric motors manufacturer, was established in October 2015 in Chelyabinsk, with the participation of Transneft (51%), CONAR (49%) and Italian partners, as part of Transneft’s import substitution effort for the arrangement of high-voltage electric motors production in the Russian Federation.
The plant has the full cycle of electric motor production arranged: manufacture of components, assembly and testing of products. The plant’s estimated planned output of high-voltage electric motors for main pump units and booster units will be up to 300 pieces per year with the capacity up to 14 megawatts, with the possibility of expanding the product range to 45 megawatts.
