RUSSIAN ELECTRIC MOTORS Receives International Certificates of Compliance for its Management Systems

RUSSIAN ELECTRIC MOTORS (REM) has obtained international certificates of compliance for its management systems, including:

 - ISO ISO14001:2015 certificate for the environmental management system;

- OHSAS 18001:2007certificate for the occupational health and safety system;

 - ISO 50001:2011 certificate for the energy management system.

The decision on issuing of the certificates was made following the audit of the integrated management systems which was conducted by experts of an internationally recognised Russian certification organisation. The audit was carried out in respect of the processes and business units related to REM’s operations.

Based on the findings of the audit, conclusions were issued confirming the scope of certification, including design, manufacture and testing of electric motors, manufacture of components and parts as well as repair and maintenance of the aforementioned electric motors.

Obtaining of the certificates testifies to the compliance of REM’s processes and procedures with the high requirements of international standards and opens the way for the Company to offer its services and products on both the Russian and international markets, in industries requiring usage of highly reliable and high-quality equipment.

Joint-Stock Company "RUSSIAN ELECTRIC MOTORS" (REM, JSC), a high-voltage electric motors manufacturer, was established in October 2015 in Chelyabinsk , with the participation of Transneft (51%), CONAR (49%) and Italian partners, as part of Transneft’s import substitution effort to provide for manufacture of high-voltage electric motors in the Russian Federation.

The plant has the full cycle of electric motor production implemented, including manufacture of components, assembly and product testing. The plant’s target estimated volume of production of high-voltage electric motors for main pump units and booster units will be up to 300 pieces per year with the capacity up to 14 megawatts, allowing for expanding the product range to 45 megawatts.
